Our bodies, minds and spirits need a relaxing break from all the chaos about us. It is when our bodies and minds and spirits heal. Without the peace of rest we are handicapped.

When sleeping, we can turn off or dull most of our senses, except hearing. Our ears and our auditory processing systems never turn off. Never. Sounds, while sleeping, keep our brains active and working, not resting. Ticking, humming, whirring, even the snoring of someone we love, laying safely next to us, can be a distraction through our auditory processing systems! Even music or nature sounds are not really soothing to our auditory processing systems.

Turn off the lights. Turn off all sounds. Snuggle in and sleep. Deeply. Then see how refreshed you are in the morning.
