It seemed in the first presidential campaign of President Obama a higher percentage of young voters got out to vote for him in the hopes a lot of things would change.
Even during the campaign and in the views on television of the campaign parties, there were a lot more younger people visible on the screen.
He was very good at inspiring young adults to get involved, more so than any candidate I had seen before.
With a higher percentage of younger Americans exercising their vote, I had higher hopes of some important things shifting, like national healthcare, which so many other countries have.
Change a monolithic system like healthcare in the United States is a herculean endeavor, but I have hopes it can be done for the benefit of those who really need the change.
