I made a commitment to myself to attend the Monday night meeting of Al Anon and to take my daughter to Ala-teen. We agreed to do this for ourselves. We agreed to go to at least one meeting a week for a year. So why does it bother me so much that I missed a meeting last week?
Now I’ve gone to about 18 meetings in the last 23 days, so I’m not being gyped or anything, so why did it bother me so much when circumstances kept me from going one night?
When opportunities come our way, we always have choice. What we do with that choice, is an indication of who we are and determines who we become, more often or not.
So true, but also true throughout life. Opportunities come and people choose not to take them. They choose out of fear of the unknown and fear of change and fear of success and such. But those who are willing to live life with courage are the ones who get the most out of life. They take the greatest risks and they get the greatest benefits.
I choose to risk the unknown and change. I choose to search for truth, creating my own path. I choose to share with the intent to inspire. What no longer serves you in your life? And where might the solutions to your life challenges be waiting for you?
